Our Beginners Course runs over 2 mornings of two weekends in a row. We keep this course intimate with a maximum of 10 students, which allows us to welcome complete novices to yoga, as well as those with previous yoga practice but willing to develop their own self-practice.
We want to encourage students to start developing their personal yoga practice. Therefore, the aim of the course is to give you enough material and practical knowledge to explore some techniques (breath awareness and synchronisation of breath and movement, specific gazing points, and essentials of healthy internal alignment) on basic postures and start developing your own practice according to your individual needs.
These foundations of the practice will be applied to and explored in the basic postures of the Ashtanga sequence, namely:
- Sun salutations;
- Standing postures;
- Introduction to short finishing sequence.
Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to learn and explore how the techniques apply to your specific circumstances. This will serve you as a soft landing in our regular class.
The Beginners Course consists of:
- 2 mornings of a 2-hour class each;
- attending any of our intro to Mysore classes in between the two courses;
- 50% discount on your first Mysore class card.
