Marie will start by going through the anatomy of the breath then proceed with an investigation into the anatomy of the three main bandhas which will be engaged and practiced, as the breath is first to be explored then the actions of the bandhas can be consciously enhanced.

Students will explore breathing techniques to obtain specific results by exerting more control over the patterns – these techniques are used to make adjustments to our inner states, whether our desire is to meditate and/or function properly in our life.

In this course, Marie will be offering a map to help you understand ideas about the yogic practice of pranayama and give you the tools for exploring yourself.  She believes that as the physiology reflects the psychology, as the breath reflects our state of mind but also our movement patterns, these tools are indispensable to both our physical and mental well-being.
